Independence

Collaboration is not control

Centre for Governance Studies, USA is legally and institutionally independent. It has its own governance, responsibilities, decisions, and U.S. compliance obligations. Collaboration does not make either organization the agent, representative, or controlling body of the other unless a specific written agreement expressly provides otherwise.

For joint work, the organizations identify responsibilities, funding, editorial control, attribution, data handling, intellectual property, and disclosure in writing. CGS USA does not accept direction from a partner, funder, government, political party, or other outside interest over research findings or institutional positions.
