CGS USA is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for mission, strategy, financial oversight, risk, executive accountability, and the organization’s independence and legal duties. Directors serve the interests of CGS USA and its public-purpose mission.
Zillur Rahman is a journalist, broadcaster, and public-affairs commentator. He is known as the founder and host of the Bengali television talk show Tritiyo Matra. His work has focused on public debate, democracy, governance, media, and freedom of expression. As Founding Board Chair, he leads the Board of Directors of CGS USA.
Dr. Clay G. Wescott is a management consultant and public-management specialist. His research and advisory work has covered political economy, civil-service reform, public finance, decentralization, and anti-corruption. He has held senior roles with international development institutions and the International Public Management Network.
Aarya Nijat is a governance and policy specialist with experience in institutional reform, public administration, and development. Her work has addressed subnational governance, women’s leadership, and public-sector reform, including in Afghanistan.
Dr. Ali Riaz is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Politics and Government at Illinois State University. His research focuses on democratization, South Asian and Bangladeshi politics, and the political economy of media. He is President of the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies and a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council.
Dr. Mohammed Parvez Imdad is an economist and policy adviser with extensive experience in government and international development, including senior roles at the Asian Development Bank. His expertise covers economic and social development, governance, and regional cooperation.
Selcuk Kyle Inan is an economist based in the United States. He brings an economic and international perspective to the Board’s work on development, public policy, and regional affairs.
Parvez Karim Abbasi is an economist, researcher, and university educator. His work focuses on geopolitics, regional connectivity, energy security, and the Indo-Pacific, and he has contributed to research and public discussion on economic and strategic affairs.
