Event Participation and Recording Policy
CGS USA seeks to make events welcoming, accessible, substantive, and safe. These expectations apply to participants, speakers, staff, contractors, volunteers, partners, and members of the media.
Expected conduct
- Engage ideas and evidence without personal abuse, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.
- Follow moderator, venue, platform, security, and accessibility instructions.
- Respect stated rules about attribution, recording, photography, confidential information, and participant privacy.
- Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent an affiliation, or use registration data for solicitation.
- Disclose a material conflict when speaking in an expert or institutional capacity.
How sessions are run
Moderators may combine, shorten, defer, or decline questions to manage time, relevance, safety, and balance. CGS USA may revoke access or remove content that violates these rules. Decisions about participation are not endorsements of any person or view.
Attribution and the record
The event page will state the applicable record rule. If a session is described as off the record or not for attribution, participants should not identify a speaker or participant outside the session without permission. CGS USA cannot guarantee that every participant will comply and encourages speakers to avoid sharing information that would create unacceptable risk if disclosed.
