CGS USA publishes research and analysis to improve public understanding. We value accuracy, independence, fair representation of evidence, transparent authorship, meaningful disclosure, and correction.
Institutional and authored content
An institutional statement must be approved through the organization’s designated process and is presented as the position of CGS USA. Authored publications, interviews, and event remarks belong to the named author or speaker unless the page expressly says otherwise.
Editorial commitments
- Verify material factual claims and use sources appropriate to the claim.
- Distinguish reporting, analysis, opinion, recommendation, and institutional position.
- Give people and institutions a fair opportunity to respond when serious, specific criticism warrants it.
- Disclose relevant funding, partnerships, and conflicts near the content they affect.
- Do not plagiarize, fabricate sources, manipulate quotations, or present synthetic media as authentic.
- Label sponsored, partner, translated, updated, corrected, archived, or AI-assisted material when the distinction is material.
- Protect confidential sources and sensitive research data through approved processes; do not promise absolute confidentiality.
- Avoid dehumanizing language and unnecessary personal details, especially when reporting on vulnerable people.
No AI system is listed as an author
AI tools may assist with tasks such as transcription, translation, coding, summarization, or editing only under human supervision and appropriate confidentiality safeguards. Human authors and editors remain accountable for accuracy, originality, bias, privacy, copyright, security, and disclosure. CGS USA does not list an AI system as an author.
